Stop Georgia Aquarium From Importing 18 Wild Belugas

Despite the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) rejecting their request based on longstanding conservation laws, the Georgia Aquarium is suing to import 18 wild-caught beluga whales to be kept in captivity.

These imperiled whales were torn from their family groups and destined for a life in captivity half a world away. According to the NMFS, 5 of the captured whales were roughly 1.5 years of age and could still be nursing and dependent on their mothers.

NMFS rejected their request in August, but astoundingly, the Georgia Aquarium has sued to overturn that decision!

Tell the Georgia Aquarium to withdraw its lawsuit and work to enhance conservation--not exploitation--of imperiled species.
